How much does Wegovy cost in the UK? Across the 24 regulated online providers we track, the honest 2026 answer is: between £79.97 and £164 for a four-week starter pen, and £174.99 to £249 per four weeks at the full 2.4 mg maintenance dose. The medicine is identical wherever you order — the difference is purely each pharmacy's pricing.

And that difference adds up. At 1 mg, the gap between cheapest and dearest provider is £90 every four weeks; at maintenance, choosing well saves roughly £960 across a year of thirteen four-week supplies. Wegovy cost in the UK, dose by dose

Wegovy doesn't have one price because it isn't one dose. Everyone climbs the same ladder: 0.25 mg weekly for four weeks, then 0.5 mg, 1 mg and 1.7 mg for around four weeks each, settling on the usual 2.4 mg maintenance dose from about week 17. Each pen covers four weekly injections; each step costs more. The cheapest price at every rung:

• 0.25 mg (weeks 1–4): from £79.97 — and first-order offers take some starter pens as low as £59.99.
• 0.5 mg (weeks 5–8): from £108.97.
• 1 mg (weeks 9–12): from £109 — the dose with the widest spread, reaching £199 elsewhere.
• 1.7 mg (weeks 13–16): from £168.97.
• 2.4 mg (week 17 onwards): from £174.99 — the number that matters most, because it's the one you keep paying.
• 7.2 mg: from £249.99 — MHRA-approved in January 2026 for obesity (BMI 30+) only; 8 of the 24 providers stock it.

What a first year on Wegovy actually costs

A year holds thirteen four-week supplies: four titration pens, then nine at maintenance.

At the cheapest maintenance provider, Cloud Pharmacy, the four climbing doses come to about £510 (£114.99 + £119.99 + £124.99 + £149.99), and nine 2.4 mg pens at £174.99 add roughly £1,575. Call it £2,085 for year one. At the dearest programme-style providers, where maintenance runs to £249, the same year lands closer to £3,000. The Weight Clinic's first four months cost £515 with the NEWME code (£80 + £125 + £135 + £175) — almost identical to the cheapest route — then £230 at maintenance.

One caveat: if side effects mean your prescriber holds you at a lower dose for longer, your monthly cost stays lower too. Treat these figures as a planning budget, not an invoice.

First-order offers: welcome, but do one sum first

Most providers discount your first order — the current offers (checked 4 July 2026): ZAVA drops to £59.99 with code WZUK40, MedExpress matches £59.99 for new customers, LloydsPharmacy falls to £69.99 with START30, and The Weight Clinic to £80 with NEWME.

The sum worth doing: the discount happens once; the maintenance price repeats around nine times in your first year. Voy illustrates it best — a tempting £69 first month, but a £144 standard starter and a £239 maintenance dose, among the highest we track. Judge every provider on its 2.4 mg line, and treat the welcome code as a bonus.

What's included in the price — and what isn't

Happily, the consultation is free at every provider in our table, and several — LloydsPharmacy and Superdrug among them — charge only if you're approved. (We've written up exactly what the consultation asks.) The variables to check are smaller:

• Delivery. Free at many (Cloud Pharmacy and ZAVA next-day; Boots tracked), £2.99–£5.95 at others. Whatever you pay, it should be cold-chain packaging — Wegovy must stay chilled in transit, one of our seven safety checks before you pay.
• Needles and sharps disposal. Included at some (Cloud Pharmacy, LloydsPharmacy, The Weight Clinic; Chemist4U adds a sharps bin), an extra at others.
• Pay-per-order vs subscription. Pharmacies like The Independent Pharmacy charge order by order, no tie-in. Programme providers such as Numan, Juniper and Second Nature bundle coaching and apps — valuable if you'll use them, but it's why their maintenance prices sit at the £229–£249 end.

Is Wegovy cheaper on the NHS?

If you qualify, yes — you'd pay only the standard prescription charge. But NHS access runs through specialist weight-management services with strict entry criteria, and availability and waits vary widely by area.
