Buying your first Wegovy pen shouldn't feel like a leap of faith. We compare every regulated UK provider we can verify — 24 of them — on price, delivery and support, and walk you through exactly how the online consultation works, so your first order is a considered one.
Wegovy is a prescription-only medicine — a UK prescriber decides if it's right for you, and can decline.
There's no GP referral, no paper prescription to post, and nothing to print. Here's the whole journey — most people finish it in under a day.
Pick from GPhC-registered pharmacies or CQC-regulated clinics only — that's every provider in our table. Compare the ongoing price, not just the first-month offer, and note what support is included.

≈ 10–15 minutes, then prescriber reviewYour pen ships in temperature-controlled packaging, often next-day, with needles included at many providers. You start on the 0.25 mg dose and step up gradually under the provider's guidance.

Every provider listed is a GPhC-registered pharmacy or CQC-regulated clinic. The Weight Clinic sits at the top as our recommended provider; everyone below is sorted by ongoing price, cheapest first, and no one can pay to move up. Prices can change between our checks, so please confirm on the provider's own site before ordering — this table is price information, not an offer of supply.
The £79.97 headlines you'll see advertised are for the 0.25 mg starter dose — a dose you'll only use for your first four weeks. Wegovy is increased gradually over about 16 weeks (0.25 → 0.5 → 1 → 1.7 mg) to reduce nausea, before settling at the usual 2.4 mg maintenance dose. Each strength is priced separately, and maintenance is where you'll spend most of your months.
So when you compare providers, look at the whole ladder — a pharmacy that's cheapest at 0.25 mg isn't always cheapest at 2.4 mg. Since January 2026 there's also a higher 7.2 mg dose, approved for obesity only, which a minority of providers stock.
Before you order, check the 2.4 mg price at your shortlisted provider — that's the number you'll actually live with.

Cheapest isn't the only thing that matters on your first order — what happens after you pay does too. The Weight Clinic earns our recommendation on the strength of its aftercare and its fairness when things don't go your way:
Wegovy's popularity has attracted sellers who shouldn't be selling it. Every provider in our table passes these checks — but if you're buying anywhere else, run them yourself first. Our guide to buying Wegovy online safely goes deeper.
A legitimate provider is a GPhC-registered pharmacy or a CQC-regulated clinic, and will show its registration number. If you can't verify it on the regulator's website, walk away.
A real consultation asks about your BMI, health history and medicines — and can end in a no. Any site that sells Wegovy with no questions asked is a red flag, not a shortcut.
Licensed UK stock ships in cold-chain packaging from a UK pharmacy. Steer well clear of social-media sellers and "compounded" copies — they sit outside every safeguard the UK system has.
Good providers offer ongoing clinical support if side effects appear. Whoever you buy from, suspected side effects can be reported via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.
Yes. Wegovy (semaglutide) is a prescription-only medicine, so a UK prescriber must approve it for you before any pharmacy can dispense it. The good news is that regulated online providers build this into the order: you complete a health questionnaire, a prescriber reviews it, and the prescription is issued only if you meet the criteria. You never need to source a prescription separately — but equally, the prescriber can say no.
Across the 24 regulated providers we track, the 0.25 mg starter dose ranges from £79.97 to £164 per 4 weeks, and the 2.4 mg maintenance dose starts at £174.99. Many providers also discount your first order — The Weight Clinic, for example, takes £35 off with code NEWME. Prices were last checked on 4 July 2026 and can change, so always confirm on the provider's own site.
Completely — provided you buy from a GPhC-registered pharmacy or a CQC-regulated clinic, and a prescriber approves you first. That describes every provider in our table. What is neither legal nor safe is buying from sellers who skip the prescription: social-media sellers, overseas websites and so-called compounded copies. Those routes carry a genuine risk of counterfeit or unregulated products and we would never point you towards them.
UK providers typically prescribe Wegovy for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 and above alongside a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure. Most now ask for photos or a short video to verify your details. The final decision always sits with the prescriber, and no honest provider will ever promise approval in advance.
With reputable providers, being declined costs you nothing or is refunded — The Weight Clinic, our recommended provider, refunds you if the prescriber says no. If you are declined, resist the temptation to shop around for a website that asks fewer questions: a provider that approves everyone is a provider running no real clinical checks, and that is a safety problem, not a convenience.
Every regulated provider dispenses the same UK-licensed Wegovy pens, but each sets its own margin and bundles different things into the price — some are lean online pharmacies, others include coaching apps, dietitian access or clinician check-ins. The spread is real money: at the 1 mg dose the gap between the cheapest and dearest provider we track is £90 a month. That is exactly why it pays to compare before you order.
Yes. You are buying month to month, or on a subscription you can cancel — not signing a long-term contract. A new provider will run its own consultation and ask which dose you are currently on, so you carry on where you left off rather than restarting at 0.25 mg. Just avoid gaps between orders by lining the new provider up before your current pen runs out.
